BATTING
Large bails of compacted milled fibers mark the start of non-woven fiber production. These are broken down into individual fibers. The individual fibers produce a homogenous mix which is spread out to form a fibrous web of even thickness.
These webs are layered until the desired basis weight is achieved. Heating in an oven activates the binding fibers added to the non woven fabric. As they cool they bond with the carrier fibers and so strengthen the non-woven fabric.
The batting is rolled up and packed according to client specs.
